How you make an impact

As a Cloud DevOps Engineer, a varied field of activity with great development potential awaits you. With your personality and technical knowledge, you help to create innovations from data and thus prepare exciting customers for future challenges.
- That's why you're making a big difference:
- You design, build, operate, and maintain modern data analytics platforms in the cloud and on-premise.
- You automate platform lifecycles according to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
- You contribute to data engineering development activities.
- You are also responsible for checking, auditing, and troubleshooting existing solutions and system architectures.
- You get involved in Scigility internally, e.g.: help shape our technology strategy, participate in pre-sales activities, be a mentor for new-joiners.
What makes you the ideal candidate
- You have a university degree in computer science or comparable experience.
- You have a valid Swiss working permit or EU citizenship.
- You have experience with cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP, especially in the area of data analytics. This includes comprehensive knowledge of data platforms, data pipelines, and streaming technologies.
- You have practical experience in using IaC and automating deployments with Ansible, Terraform, or a similar technology.
- You have also already gained experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and other automated processes.
- You are able to write code in a modern programming language such as Python.
- You have practical experience with container technologies (OpenShift, Kubernetes) and are familiar with Linux administration, networks, security settings, and troubleshooting.
- You also look forward to visiting your customers on-site within Switzerland 2-3 times a week.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in French, German, and English round off your profile.
- Optional superhero skills:
- You have experience with distributed systems, especially with Apache Spark and Apache Kafka.
- You have gained practical experience with platform administration (Linux or virtualization).
- You have experience with the Cloudera Data Platform.

- Deshalb bewegst du Grosses:
- Du entwirfst, baust, betreibst und wartest moderne Datenanalyse-Plattformen in der Cloud und on-Premise.
- Du automatisierst die Lebenszyklen der Plattformen nach den Prinzipien von Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Du trägst mit deinen Ideen aktiv zur Entwicklung im Bereich Data Engineering bei.
- Zudem bist du verantwortlich für die Überprüfung, den Audit und die Fehlerbehebung der bestehenden Lösungen und Systemarchitekturen.
Das macht dich zum idealen Kandidaten
- Du verfügst über einen Hochschulabschluss in Informatik oder bringst vergleichbare Erfahrungen mit.
- Erfahrung mit Cloud-Technologien wie Microsoft Azure, AWS oder GCP, insbesondere im Bereich Data Analytics, zeichnen dich aus. Das beinhaltet umfassende Kenntnisse in Datenplattformen, Daten-Pipelines und Streaming-Technologien.
- Du hast praktische Erfahrung in der Anwendung von IaC und der Automatisierung von Deployments mit Ansible, Terraform oder einer ähnlichen Technologie.
- Zudem konntest du bereits Erfahrung im Entwerfen, Implementieren sowie Warten von CI/CD-Pipelines und anderer automatisierter Prozesse sammeln.
- Du bist in der Lage, Code in einer modernen Programmiersprache wie Python zu schreiben.
- Du hast praktische Erfahrung mit Container-Technologien (OpenShift, Kubernetes) und kennst dich mit Linux-Administration, Netzwerken, Sicherheitseinrichtungen und Fehlerbehebungen aus.
- Ausserdem freust du dich darauf, deine Kunden 2-3 Mal pro Woche innerhalb der Schweiz vor Ort zu besuchen.
- Ausgezeichnete schriftliche und mündliche Kommunikationsfähigkeiten in Deutsch sowie Englisch runden dein Profil ab.
